Event Description

EU Institutions going Web 2.0: style or substance?
More and more organisations, private and public, are starting to explore the possibilities and mindset of web 2.0. Within the European institutions several individuals and departments are experimenting with Twitter, Facebook and more.
What can EU institutions learn from the experience of others and does it make sense for them to get involved?
Guest speaker is Davied van Berlo of the Civil Servant 2.0 network in the Netherlands.
Registration is mandatory for security reasons and please bring your ID-card with you to the event!
Register online on this site using the RSVP facility or tweet @dicknieuwenhuis with #Web2EU

It was great to put living faces and voices to the avatars and grainy thumbnails we all interact with. Thanks to the organisers for a great job, and to Davied for putting up with my questions.

So guys, what's next?

Excellent event and a tribute to the social part of social media. It was great to meet so many of the 'faces' from in here! Also, the debate must continue.... Well done Benedictus & Hugh! Gerry

Would have liked to attend. But sick at home. Maybe someone can blog a summary?

Quite sufficient. No change in venue - too much Shantalla recently? :-)
Comment by Gerry Murray on October 21, 2009 at 20:09
Hugh, I've just RSVPed that I'll attend. Is that sufficient for registration and has the venue changed? I thought it was at the Parliament...? Anyway, I'll head off to the Commission Training Building.
